Managing manure can be a tricky business as the manure settles out causing crusted over pits and solid accumulating at the bottom of the pits. This leads to difficulty in pumping the manure as well as applying it to the the fields for fertilization. It causes what is known as streaking in the fields when solids are concentrated in some areas and more liquids go to other areas.

When Manure pits are treated with our bacteria we insure that there is no solids settling out and that top crusts are kept liquid. This helps with the pumping of such a pit and also greatly enhances the application of the manure on fields. Streaking will no longer be a problem as the manure will have a consistency that makes application easy.


In the process of storing the manure for the right time for application a lot of nutrients is lost due to breakdown processes. The smell of ammonia is a good indication that nitrogen is lost to the atmosphere and methane generated is effectively a carbon source lost to the atmosphere.
